A dermatologist referred this patient to get PRP. She had lost some of her frontal hairline and was on Rogaine for years with questionable benefit. Recognizing she is “advanced” on the Ludwig scale, we discussed all options I have to offer from which she could benefit, from our hair follicle regeneration treatment to a more permanent solution like a hair transplant. She elected to proceed with hair follicle regeneration PLUS (with human follicular stem cells).
Some five months later, she returned and said she "should have gone ahead with the transplant ." Because of her extensive hair loss, we planned a FUT case involving 4000 grafts. Hair follicle regeneration was included as part of this transplant.

She returned about 5 months later for follow up pics and then again 10 months after the transplant. As you can see from the three hairline photos, the hairline continued to fill in after the 5 month time frame to what we see 10 months post op. She is very pleased with the new density and has her confidence back. As with other women with advanced Ludwig alopecia, it takes many grafts to provide the desired density over the top of the patient's scalp.
