This patient initially came in wanting to strengthen the density in the frontal region and some fill-in of the temporal recession on each side. I placed him on finasteride, and because of budgetary constraints, we did an FUE first transplant consisting of only 1000 grafts. After this procedure, he was pleased but wanted more density. I did a second FUE transplant with 2500 grafts 27 months later and placed grafts in multiple locations: 1500 grafts placed in the crown, 700 grafts placed in the hairline, and the rest spread throughout the front and mid-scalp. I included our "Hair Follicle Regeneration" treatment with each transplant.

The “after” pictures were taken two years after the second procedure. He is very happy with the areas he was initially concerned about. I did not do any work to his crown during the first procedure, and we knew going into the second procedure that placing only 1500 grafts in the crown would not completely fill it in at this point. It would give him some coverage, but it would not be complete. His crown is an area that can always be addressed in the future if he chooses to do so.
