Meet Macon’s Hair Loss Doctor – Dr. Gray!

At the Hair Transplant & Restoration Center, we are proud to have a hair loss doctor who is one of the most passionate and skilled in the hair transplant field. Since he was three years old, Dr. Arthur Gray told his parents he wanted to be a doctor and his lifelong desire to help others has not waned.

Dr. Gray received his pre-medical degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Following the completion of his studies at Emory, he and his wife Rosie were married and moved to Augusta, Georgia. It was there that Dr. Gray finished medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. While completing his Anesthesiology Residency in Augusta, he was the recipient of the Top Resident Award.

Dr. Gray and Rosie moved to Macon upon completion of his residency. He started his career at the HCA Coliseum Hospital where he served as Chief of the Medical Staff. In 2003, he took his work to the Medical Center of Central Georgia, a level one trauma center in downtown Macon. Dr. Gray has worked as a board certified Anesthesiologist since 1984.

After a long and successful career in the medical field, it was hard for Dr. Gray to completely part ways with the surgical world. Due to his skill and dexterity, the hair transplant field was a new territory that interested and excited him. Dr. Gray has always wanted to help people and hair restoration was a new way through which he could offer his high level of care to others. From there, HT&RC was born.

Hair restoration requires incredible patience and extreme aptitude in the surgical field. The specificity of the hair pattern cannot be compromised in order to achieve the best results, and a person’s hair pattern can only be copied during a hair transplant by a doctor with specific skill.

The Hair Loss Doctor Outside Of The Office

Dr. Gray and Rosie have been married for 38 years and have four children, Christopher, Matthew, Sarah, and Hampton. Christopher is married to Jill, and Matthew is married to Angela and they have three children.

When he is away from the hospital, Dr. Gray loves to be outdoors with his wife. He loves to fly fish, cook on the Big Green Egg, and bike ride. He enjoys many artistic fields especially photography and painting. He recently finished an intensive training at Watts Atelier where he continued to master his drawing and painting skills.

Dr. Gray is a member of multiple professional boards including the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and the American Board of Anesthesiology. Away from the medical world, Dr. Gray has served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church and on the Board of Trustees at First Presbyterian Day School.
