Dr. Gray Speaks About Low Level Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy is an FDA-approved non-surgical therapy using infrared light that stimulates wound healing, mitochondrial DNA, and cytokine secretion. Low Level Laser Therapy has been found to increase hair thickness and hair count for both men and women.

The Capillus Laser Cap treatment plan using Low Level Laser Therapy involves the patient wearing the cap for 20-30 minutes about 3 times a week. This cap is powered by a rechargeable battery pack and can be worn while doing other activities around the house.

There is no pain associated with the Capillus Laser Cap. The patient will not experience UV radiation, pain, or discomfort.

The amazing thing about Low Level Laser Therapy is that it is a red wavelength of light about 640 nanometers and that light wavelength imparts energy to the mitochondrion cells and makes the epethelian grow, but it also stimulates hair to grow. We’ve known for years that it stimulates wound healing. It only penetrates about 2 mm below the surface of the skin, but that’s just deep enough to stimulate the hair follicle to make the hair grow.

Low Level Laser Therapy treatment is used about 3 times a week for 30 minutes a day, and we have a laser cap that we sell which is very easy to use. Again, this only works if you use it. So, the trouble with using a brush is that you literally have to brush your hair for 30 minutes 3 times a week, so many of the brushes might end up in the drawer, whereas with a cap you can use it while you’re reading a book, washing dishes, watching TV, or driving a car even. It is without any downside to it.
